About The Position

The Prep Cook is responsible for preparing ingredients, maintaining food quality standards, supporting kitchen operations, and ensuring a clean, safe, and efficient work environment. The role assists with food preparation, inventory handling, and helps the kitchen team deliver high-quality food while maintaining operational and financial standards.

Requirements

• Knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations.

• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients and food items according to recipes and kitchen standards.
• Assist with receiving, inspecting, and storing incoming food deliveries.
• Verify food quality, quantity, and vendor invoices.
• Maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients, preparation methods, and presentation standards.
• Support food cost control and kitchen efficiency initiatives.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen work areas.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
• Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Assist with additional kitchen duties as assigned.
