About The Position

The Bar Back supports the bar team by keeping the bar clean, organized, and stocked, and by assisting with beverage and garnish preparation. The role helps bartenders provide efficient service by anticipating their needs and supporting both staff and customers. It requires a proactive, energetic, collaborative person who can work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and handle continuous movement and physically demanding tasks.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old in accordance with local and state laws.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy boxes and moving kegs.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a team.
• Basic knowledge of bar operations and beverage service etiquette.
• Strong organizational skills, physical stamina, ability to multitask, and a proactive attitude.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a fast-paced hospitality or bar environment; experience is preferred but not required.
• Experience as a Bar Back or in a similar support role in a bar or restaurant.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations related to food and beverage service.
• Certification in responsible alcohol service, such as TIPS or equivalent.
• Ability to multitask effectively in a high-volume environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Restock liquor, beer, wine, mixers, and garnishes throughout the shift.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the bar, including washing glassware, cleaning surfaces, and disposing of trash.
• Assist bartenders with preparation, including cutting fruit, filling ice bins, and setting up bar stations before and during service.
• Monitor and replenish napkins, straws, glassware, and other supplies.
• Run errands, retrieve stock from storage, and assist with deliveries to support smooth operations.
