About The Position

Fishers Event Center has an excellent and immediate opening for a part-time Bar Back. This position is responsible for the overall stocking, replenishing, cleaning, maintenance, and preparation of beverages of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including inventory.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge of principles and processes for providing guest and personal services; this includes guest needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of guest satisfaction.
Good oral communication skills
Professionalism in handling all matters.
Ability to understand orders and understand information/ideas presented in writing.
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.

Nice To Haves

1-2 years of experience in food service and/or working in a bar environment preferred.

Responsibilities

Completing tasks related to stocking, replenishing, cleaning, maintenance, and preparation of beverages under the guidance of the Bartender.
Maintaining and stocking adequate supplies of bar items such as glasses, cups, napkins, drink supplies, condiments, etc.
Washing glasses and other serving equipment at bars.
Stocking refrigerating units with wines, beer, replacing beer kegs, etc.
Replenishing ice at bar.
Cleaning and polishing bar, counters, shelves, equipment, bar stools, etc.
Preparing food items needed in the preparation of drinks.
Trash pickup and disposal at bar and bar service areas.
Maintaining personal health and sanitation standards (wash hands when using restroom, etc.)
Reviewing work procedures and operational problems to determine ways to improve service, performance, and/or safety.
Stepping in to assist other Food & Beverage areas as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
