About The Position

This role is responsible for ensuring the smooth, efficient, and cost-effective operation of the bar, including labor management, supervision of all services, scheduling, and inventory control. The Bar Back will maintain high service standards, keep bar stations stocked, and assist bartenders as needed. This position may also involve serving guests and collecting payments.

Requirements

Ability to keep bar stations fully stocked.
Ability to cover other bars during breaks.
Ability to empty trash and maintain cleanliness.
Ability to clean bar surfaces, coolers, garnish trays, and bottles.
Ability to keep floors clean and free of debris.
Ability to prepare fruit garnishes.
Ability to assist bartenders in mixing and preparing bulk alcohol and mix recipes.
Ability to retrieve or serve beverages to guests or servers.
Ability to assist bartenders with greeting guests and taking drink orders.
Ability to serve and collect payment for drinks.

Responsibilities

Direct smooth, efficient, cost-effective operation, including labor management, supervision of all aspects of services, scheduling, and inventory control.
Ensure all departmental service standards are upheld.
Keeps the bar stations fully stocked (ice, mixes, garnishes, napkins, straws, etc.).
Covers other bars when other Bar Backs are on break.
Empties trash as necessary throughout the shift, and at the end of the shift.
Keeps bar surfaces clean, wipes down inside of reach-ins and beer coolers to prevent condensation buildup, cleans all garnish trays at the end of each shift or as needed, wipes down all mix containers and alcohol bottles at the end of each shift.
Keeps the floors clean and presentable and ensures that all debris is collected.
Prepares fruit garnishes for each shift and assists Bartenders in mixing and preparing bulk alcohol and mix recipes for volume sale. (Concentrated juices, Sangria, Spiced Cider, etc.)
Assists the Bartender in retrieving or serving beer, sodas, or bottles beverages to guests or Cocktail Servers at the Bartenders direction during volume times.
Assists Bartenders with greeting new guests and obtaining drink orders.
May also be required to serve and collect payment for drinks.
