About The Position

Assist the Banquet Manager in preparing for banquet guests and ensuring a positive guest experience. Set up, maintain, and break down meeting rooms and ballrooms according to guest specifications, replenishing them with clean glasses and fresh water and returning equipment to storage after events. The role involves continuous physical activity throughout the shift, including moving heavy and awkward materials.

Requirements

Knowledge of meeting-room equipment and setup styles, including different table types.
Ability to lift and move multiple tables, chairs, and podiums weighing up to 100 pounds through a crowded room, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to perform continuous physical activity throughout the shift for room setup and breakdown, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to grasp, lift, carry, move, or push goods on a hand cart or truck weighing up to 500 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to stand for long periods, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to adapt communication style to supervisors, coworkers, and the public.

Responsibilities

Communicate with the supervisor throughout the shift to stay informed about assigned work.
Set up meeting rooms according to guest specifications, transporting staging, tables, chairs, dance floors, and other materials from storage.
Supply and replenish meeting rooms with clean glasses and fresh water.
Break down rooms after meetings and return items to storage so rooms can be reset for the next function.
Maintain the established cleaning schedule for meeting rooms and ballrooms.
Follow attendance rules and be available to work regularly.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
