About The Position

Responsible for serving meals and beverages to patrons promptly, correctly, and courteously. The role supports banquet setup and guest service while maintaining food-handling, sanitation, equipment-safety, appearance, and workplace standards. This position does not involve functions related to casino gambling by patrons. Work is performed outside the gaming space, with some or most duties potentially occurring back of house; access to the gaming floor is not required. The workplace is a smoking establishment and can be highly populated, fast-paced, and noisy.

Requirements

• Previous serving experience required.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule and the schedule required by department management.
• Neat and clean appearance; outgoing demeanor.
• Maintain physical stamina and a proper mental attitude, and deal effectively with guests, management, employees, and outside contacts.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to perform frequent standing, walking, stooping, bending, reaching, climbing steps, and sitting.
• Manual dexterity to cut, slice, whisk, grab, grip, type, pull, hold, tear, sort, and reach.
• Ability to work in a smoking environment and in a highly populated, fast-paced, noisy environment.
• Minors may work but may not handle or serve alcohol. Employees at least 19 years old may cashier or ring up transactions involving alcohol but may not serve it until they reach legal age. When minors are on staff, an employee at least 21 years old must be present to supervise and be responsible for them.

Responsibilities

• Serve meals and beverages to patrons promptly, correctly, and courteously.
• Demonstrate sanitary food handling and equipment safety; properly store and label food items; and follow County, State, and Federal sanitation and food-handling regulations.
• Maintain a clean and neat work area.
• Set up the banquet area, help set tables, and prepare the room for guests.
• Provide exceptional customer service through pleasant, friendly, and professional communication; foster a fun environment and be gracious to guests and co-workers.
• Promote a positive influence in the community and participate in company-sponsored events.
• Support and promote superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs.
• Ensure behavior and appearance comply with established standards.
• Maintain a professional work environment with management and staff.
