About The Position

The Banquet Server works in the Banquets & Events team at the historic Joseph Smith Memorial Building on Temple Square in Salt Lake City. The role supports banquets and events by preparing event spaces, serving meals and beverages, attending to guests, and helping with event cleanup and room resets. The position is part-time, typically 15–25 hours per week across 3–4 shifts, with Sunday off.

Responsibilities

• Set up banquet and event spaces according to banquet event orders (BEOs) and management direction.
• Serve plated meals, buffet service, and beverages to guests in a timely and professional manner.
• Monitor guest needs and anticipate service requirements throughout events.
• Clear tables and maintain a clean, organized event environment during service.
• Assist with event teardown, resetting spaces, and post-event cleanup.
• Collaborate with banquet captains, kitchen staff, and event coordinators to ensure smooth event execution.
• Maintain high service standards and professional guest interactions.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
