About The Position

Lambertville Station Restaurant and Inn, a member of Genesis Hospitality, is seeking a Banquet Server for its upscale venue. The role supports banquet and event service by preparing event rooms, coordinating with the Event Manager, maintaining equipment and venue cleanliness, and delivering attentive dining service. Servers review Event Orders at the beginning of each shift and prepare rooms according to the contracted setup. Rooms are reset for the next event when it is scheduled within one day; otherwise, two sample tables are prepared for client tours. The position also includes other reasonable tasks assigned by Management.

Requirements

• Experience is a plus but is not required.
• High degree of service orientation, positive attitude, and ability to multitask.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Dependable and reliable.
• Outstanding people skills.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, guests, and management.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual Spanish skills.

Responsibilities

• Review Event Orders at the beginning of each shift to ensure rooms are set as contracted.
• Prepare rooms before guests arrive by adjusting lighting, sound volume, and temperature as needed.
• Communicate with the Event Manager about special needs or concerns.
• Use, store, and maintain equipment properly.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness standards throughout the venue.
• Set up and break down rooms.
• Reset rooms for the next event when it is within one day of the previous event; otherwise, set two sample tables for client tours.
• Maintain the dining experience by delivering items, fulfilling guest needs, removing courses, replenishing utensils, and refilling glasses.
• Undertake reasonable tasks and secondary duties assigned by Management.
• Report punctually for shifts and follow the proper dress code.
• Attend training and meetings as required.
