About The Position

The Banquet Server’s primary responsibility is to serve meals to Members and Guests. The role includes preparing banquet rooms, attending pre-event meetings, serving food and beverages, clearing dishes, replenishing beverages, and responding courteously to guest requests. The employee may be assigned to different Food and Beverage outlet locations depending on business levels and is expected to work holidays wherever needed, even when their primary outlet is closed.

Requirements

High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) and a minimum of 3 months of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to stand and walk; use hands and fingers to handle and feel; reach with hands and arms; talk, hear, taste, and smell.
Occasionally balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Set up banquet rooms as instructed by the Banquet Manager or Captain, including linens, service ware, and glassware.
Attend pre-event meetings to learn event details and guest and property expectations.
Greet guests and respond to requests in a friendly and courteous manner.
Serve food and beverages in the order and manner directed by the Banquet Manager or Captain to ensure consistency throughout the banquet.
Promptly bus dishes as guests finish each course and at the end of meals or functions.
Replenish beverages as needed and check with guests for overall satisfaction.
Check out with the supervisor.
Learn menu items, preparation methods, and prices.
Perform assigned side work.
Communicate guest questions, complaints, suggestions, and maintenance issues to the supervisor.
Attend required Resort training classes and scheduled outlet staff meetings.
Work in various Food and Beverage outlet locations according to business levels and work holidays wherever needed.
