About The Position

The Banquet Server’s primary responsibility is to serve meals to Members and Guests. The role supports banquet events by setting up rooms, serving food and beverages, attending pre-event meetings, and responding to guest needs. Employees may be assigned to different Food and Beverage outlet locations depending on business levels and may be required to work holidays wherever needed, even when their primary outlet is closed. Pinehurst may transfer employees to another job assignment or location on a temporary or regular basis as needed.

Requirements

High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED), and a minimum of 3 months of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to stand and walk; use hands and fingers to handle and feel; reach with hands and arms; talk, hear, taste, and smell.
Occasionally balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Set up banquet rooms as instructed by the Banquet Manager or Captain, including linen, service ware, and glassware.
Attend meetings before events to learn event particulars, including guest and property expectations.
Greet guests and respond to requests in a friendly and courteous manner.
Serve food and beverages in the order and manner directed by the Banquet Manager or Captain to maintain consistency throughout the banquet.
Promptly bus dishes as guests complete each course and/or at the end of the meal or function.
Replenish beverages as necessary and check with guests for overall satisfaction.
Check out with the supervisor.
Know menu items, preparation, and prices.
Perform assigned side work.
Respond to and inform the supervisor of guest questions, complaints, suggestions, or maintenance issues.
Attend Resort training classes as required.
Attend outlet staff meetings as scheduled.
Be available to work in various Food and Beverage outlet locations depending on business levels and work holidays wherever needed.
