About The Position

This is an on-call Banquet Server position. The role involves reviewing Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) to understand menu details, room setup, and food, beverage, and audio-visual needs. The server will assist with various setup tasks, ensure food quality and presentation, prepare and serve beverages, provide excellent guest service, and communicate any changes to the kitchen staff. The position requires a customer service focus, strong communication skills, a high work ethic, self-initiative, and the ability to work under pressure and in a team environment. Flexibility in scheduling, including nights, weekends, and holidays, is essential. The role is primarily an in-office position with physical requirements including prolonged sitting, occasional standing and walking, fine motor skills for computer use, and the ability to lift 10-25 pounds.

  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Occasionally required to stand, walk, bend, reach, or carry items.
  • Ability to lift and/or move 10–25 pounds as needed (e.g., files, office supplies).
  • Visual ability to read from a computer screen and printed materials including close visual focus for extended periods and color differentiation (for certain roles).
  • Ability to hear and participate in conversations and meetings, use phone and/or headset

Responsibilities

  • Review BEO's for menu details, room setup, food, beverage and audio visual needs.
  • Assist the set up staff in table set up, buffet set up, bar set up, etc.
  • Check quality and presentation of food before serving.
  • Prepare and serve beverages for the function.
  • Provide prompt and professional service to all guests.
  • Communicate with Kitchen keeping update on any changes.
