About The Position

The Banquet Server works at the Box Elder Events Center in Box Elder, South Dakota, supporting a variety of events in a dynamic team environment. The role includes event setup, service, and cleanup; welcoming guests and accommodating their needs; and delivering food and beverages. Training is provided in buffet, plated, and reception-style meal service. This is a part-time position with any shift. Full-time Associate benefits are listed separately and are not indicated as applying to this position.

Requirements

• Must be 16 years or older.
• Must possess excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Maintain a professional and personable appearance.
• Ability to work standing for up to 8 hours.
• Ability to carry trays weighing 25 pounds or more.
• Ability to work under time-pressure constraints with a positive attitude.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience as a bartender or server is preferred but not required.
• Previous money-handling and cash-register experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up, execute, and clean up events.
• Greet guests and accommodate their needs, providing exceptional service.
• Deliver food and beverages from staging areas to guests.
• Learn and practice buffet, plated, and reception-style meal services; training is provided.
• Perform all side-work duties.
• Maintain clean service areas at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
