About The Position

The Banquet Server sets up, serves, and cleans up for banquet breakfast, lunch, dinner, or for receptions. Perform other duties, as required.

Requirements

  • Good public contact skills.
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Ability to follow established standards for attendance, dress, work procedures, hospitality and courtesy.
  • Ability to work flexible days and hours including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to maintain standards listed below.
  • Must have good reading and comprehensive skills.
  • Must have tableside or banquet experience.
  • Applicants must be 18 years of age according to Virginia A.B.C. Code § 4.1-307
  • Successful candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a current Williamsburg James City County food handler’s card and TIPS® certification; applicants with an active card and certification should be prepared to present both during the interview process.
  • In accordance with Virginia A.B.C. § 4.1-225 Colonial Williamsburg prohibits employment of anyone in an alcohol serving position who has been convicted of a felony, any crime involving moral turpitude (lying, cheating, or stealing), or a drug-related offense within the past five (5) years.
