About The Position

The Banquet Server at The Hotel Hershey provides food and beverages to guests during banquets, receptions, buffets, and butler or à la carte events. The role includes event setup and teardown, guest service, carrying trays, inspecting tables and chairs, clearing tables, and maintaining supplies and a clean, orderly work area. This is a part-time, year-round union position. Work schedules are flexible and varied and may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on operational needs and union seniority.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older.
Must be able to pass the Responsible Alcohol Management Program (RAMP) Certification.
Must participate in the post-offer employment testing program.
Must present a professional image and maintain good personal hygiene.
Must have a guest-friendly attitude, a desire to serve the public, and the ability to work cooperatively with others.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
Must be able to speak fluent English and read instructions.
Must be able to tolerate temperature fluctuations required to serve outdoor guests.
Must be able to meet schedule requirements, which will most likely include evening, weekend, and holiday hours.

Nice To Haves

One year of banquet food and beverage experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Set up and tear down events.
Serve food and beverages to guests in a professional and guest-friendly manner.
Carry trays from service areas to banquet rooms.
Inspect tables and chairs.
Clean up and tear down after events; clear tables.
Maintain and stock supplies, including sugar bowls, salt and pepper shakers, and condiments.
Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
Follow safety guidelines and perform the job accordingly.
Perform other duties as assigned.
