About The Position

The Banquet Head Houseperson sets up meetings, meal functions, and audio-visual equipment in accordance with hotel and company policies. The role supervises the banquet setup team and shift operations to ensure event spaces are prepared, delivers responsive guest service, maintains meeting and banquet rooms, and supports meal service, event breakdown, and accurate billing. Employees must follow safety and energy-conservation procedures and complete other assigned duties.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to follow detailed oral and written instructions and established routines.
Ability to perform repetitive tasks consistently and with attention to detail.
Ability to safely lift and transport various items.
Strong manual dexterity and coordination for hands-on tasks.
Successful completion of a background check prior to employment.

Responsibilities

Supervise the banquet setup team and oversee shift operations to prepare event spaces for upcoming business.
Complete assigned tasks and follow instructions from supervisors or shift leaders.
Ensure water, amenities, audio-visual equipment, and breaks are in the room at least 15 minutes before meetings begin.
Respond to guest requests for additional equipment and supplies, communicate applicable charges, and notify supervisors for accurate billing.
Greet guests professionally and respond promptly to their needs.
Set up, maintain, and clean meeting and banquet rooms according to company and hotel standards.
Refresh meeting rooms during breaks by replenishing supplies, replacing linens and water service, and removing trash.
Assist with banquet meal service and event breakdown.
Help obtain signed banquet guest checks and submit them to the front office for accurate posting and billing.
Follow safety and energy-conservation procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
