Banquet Houseperson/Set-Up - On Call
About The Position
The Banquet Houseperson works alongside the banquet team to prepare event spaces and support successful functions at Hyatt Regency Cincinnati. The role includes setting up and breaking down rooms, arranging furniture and tables according to event specifications, and delivering equipment and supplies to banquet servers. The houseperson helps maintain clean, organized, safe, and sanitary banquet areas; collaborates with the team to provide seamless service; anticipates guest needs; and contributes with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to teamwork and excellence. This is an on-call position.
Requirements
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and furniture.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Set up and break down event spaces so they are ready for functions.
- Arrange furniture and tables and prepare rooms according to event specifications.
- Deliver equipment, supplies, and other items needed by banquet servers.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in banquet areas.
- Collaborate with the banquet team to provide seamless service and exceed guest expectations.
- Anticipate guest needs and provide assistance with enthusiasm and a positive attitude.
