About The Position

The Banquet Chef leads culinary production for banquet events at Signia by Hilton Indianapolis, delivering memorable dining experiences for guests. This role oversees food preparation and production while maintaining food quality, presentation, cost controls, and profitability. The Banquet Chef contributes to menu development, coordinates customized menus with Catering and Events teams, manages financial performance, supports and develops team members, and ensures compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol-awareness regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee preparation and production of food for banquet events, ensuring food quality, presentation, cost controls, and profitability.
• Select high-quality ingredients and ensure consistent execution of dishes and presentation standards.
• Assist with menu development, incorporating seasonal and creative elements into banquet offerings.
• Review Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and collaborate with Catering and Events teams to execute customized menus.
• Control costs, monitor budgets, and optimize profitability through efficient production planning.
• Supervise and support team members, monitor performance, provide coaching, and foster a positive and productive work environment.
• Maintain compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol-awareness regulations.
