About The Position

The Banquet Captain oversees food and beverage service at banquet functions and helps deliver memorable guest experiences through friendly, attentive hospitality. The role supervises service, monitors guest satisfaction, and promptly addresses issues with product or service quality. It also supports the planning, organization, and execution of a range of banquet events, works with the team to prepare for operations, processes banquet checks and payments, and maintains compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol-awareness regulations.

Responsibilities

• Bring an upbeat, friendly attitude to guest interactions and proactively identify ways to make the guest experience special.
• Supervise food and beverage service and monitor guest satisfaction during banquet events, promptly addressing product or service quality issues.
• Assist with planning, organizing, and executing banquet functions, including breakfasts, coffee breaks, luncheons, dinners, cocktail receptions, and galas.
• Lead and/or participate in department meetings to align and prepare the team for banquet operations.
• Accurately process banquet checks and ensure seamless payment transactions.
• Maintain compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol-awareness regulations.
