About The Position

Schulte Hospitality Group and the Mining Exchange Hotel are seeking a dynamic, service-oriented, full-time Banquet Captain. The role is responsible for the performance of hourly banquet food and beverage servers and serves as a personal representative of the hotel to banquet guests. The Banquet Captain provides direction and supervision to banquet staff and coordinates room and facility setup—including audio/visual and food and beverage services—to support guest satisfaction, division standards, and profit maximization. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• At least a high school education.
• At least one year of experience in a hotel customer service role.
• Ability to provide legible communication and directions.
• Outgoing personality.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally.
• Team-player attitude.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Ability to exceed the expectations of guests and team members.
• Excellent time-management skills.

Nice To Haves

• Food safety certification preferred.
• Alcohol awareness certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the performance of hourly banquet food and beverage servers and represent the hotel to banquet guests.
• Provide ongoing direction, supervision, and monitoring to banquet staff.
• Coordinate all aspects of room and facility setup, including audio/visual and food and beverage, to support guest satisfaction, division standards, and profit maximization.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
