Banquet Server, On-Call at the Mining Exchange Hotel
About The Position
Schulte Hospitality Group and the Mining Exchange Hotel are seeking a dynamic, service-oriented on-call Banquet Server. The role supports banquet service by taking food orders, maintaining buffet presentation and stock, monitoring meal distribution, refreshing drinks, and assisting with table bussing. The position requires effective communication, teamwork, strong time management, multitasking, and the ability to exceed guest and team-member expectations. Flexible hours and shifts are required. The hiring process may include interviews, a drug screen, background and reference checks, and a potential employment assessment. Requirements
- Minimum high school education.
- At least one year of experience in a hotel or restaurant serving role.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally.
- Ability to work as a team player.
- Ability to exceed the expectations of guests and team members.
- Excellent time-management skills.
- Ability to multitask.
- Ability to work flexible hours and shifts.
Nice To Haves
- Food safety certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Take accurate food orders from guests and/or ensure the buffet is stocked appropriately.
- Monitor food distribution to ensure meals reach the correct recipients and are properly prepared and presented, and/or ensure the buffet is appealing.
- Refresh drinks.
- Assist with bussing tables.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
