About The Position

TEKsystems is hiring a Bank Teller for a Fortune 100 financial institution. Based at the North Rivers Shopping Center branch in North Charleston, South Carolina, the role provides members and prospective members with the institution’s products and services, including deposit accounts, lending products, and credit and debit cards. The teller performs moderately complex platform banking functions under supervision, researches and resolves account or loan issues, assists with applications, counsels members on products and services, handles cash and negotiable instruments, and identifies opportunities to cross-service products.

This is a full-time contract position requiring 40 hours per week. The employee must be available Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.; working two to three Saturdays per month may be expected based on business needs. The role is fully onsite in North Charleston.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of cash-handling experience in in-person customer service, retail, or the banking industry.
• Ability to communicate effectively in person, over the phone, and via email.
• High school diploma.
• Availability during the stated weekday and Saturday hours; two to three Saturdays per month may be required.

Nice To Haves

• Bank Teller experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide members and prospective members with the full range of products and services, including checking, savings, certificate IRA, revocable trust and estate accounts, lending products, and credit and debit cards.
• Perform moderately complex platform banking functions under supervision.
• Analyze, research, and resolve problems and discrepancies related to member accounts and loans.
• Assist members with submitting consumer, mortgage, and equity loan applications, as well as overdraft protection and credit card applications.
• Counsel current and prospective members about company products and services.
• Ensure cash and other negotiable instruments are handled properly.
• Identify opportunities to cross-service products and increase product penetration.
