Bakery Clerk - Earth Fare Columbia
About The Position
Earth Fare Team Members help ensure customers have a fulfilling store visit by answering questions and meeting their shopping needs. They guide customers toward healthy food and trusted products for wellbeing and the household. The Bakery Clerk provides customer service at the bakery counter and elsewhere as needed, bakes goods according to production guidelines, maintains the baked goods case and sales floor, and keeps the department clean, sanitary, and organized. This part-time role is based at Earth Fare Columbia in Columbia, South Carolina, and is listed at $12.50–$15.00 per hour, with any shift.
Requirements
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Able to bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and squat.
- Able to push, pull, and maneuver heavy loads.
- Able to stand and remain on one's feet during the workday.
Nice To Haves
- Previous baking or cooking experience in a restaurant, bakery, or catering environment.
- Experience working in retail and/or a customer service-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service at the bakery counter and other areas as needed.
- Bake goods daily according to production guidelines.
- Set and maintain the baked goods case and sales floor, including product, signage, and rotation for freshness.
- Maintain the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall organization of the department.
