About The Position
Earth Fare Team Members help ensure customers have a fulfilling store visit by answering questions and meeting their shopping needs. The company’s mission is to help people live healthy lives, and Team Members guide customers toward trusted healthy food and wellbeing and household products. The Bakery Clerk provides customer service at the bakery counter and elsewhere as needed, bakes goods according to daily production guidelines, maintains the baked-goods case and sales floor—including product, signage, and freshness rotation—and keeps the department clean, sanitary, and organized. The role involves working in a fast-paced, customer-service-focused environment and may involve exposure to extreme cold and physical work.
Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and squat.
- Ability to push, pull, and maneuver heavy loads.
- Ability to stand and be on one's feet during the workday.
Nice To Haves
- Previous baking or cooking experience in a restaurant, bakery, or catering environment.
- Experience working in retail and/or a customer-service-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service at the bakery counter and in other areas as needed.
- Bake goods daily based on production guidelines.
- Set and maintain the baked-goods case and sales floor, including products, signage, and rotation for freshness.
- Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and overall organization of the department.
