Prepared Foods Clerk - Earth Fare Summerville
About The Position
The Prepared Foods Clerk delivers exceptional customer service and prepares food in areas including the deli, juice bar, pizza and sandwich stations, and hot bar. The role maintains an attractive sales floor in accordance with Earth Fare merchandising guidelines and the Food Service Manager’s direction, and verifies department signage and pricing. The clerk also maintains cleanliness, sanitation, and organization across department fixtures, storage areas, workstations, freezers, and coolers. Team Members help customers meet their shopping needs and select trusted healthy food and other products for wellbeing and the household. Earth Fare’s mission is to help people live healthy lives. The position is based at Earth Fare in Summerville, South Carolina. It is part-time and pays $13.00–$14.00 per hour. The work is fast-paced and customer-service focused, and may involve extreme cold and the physical demands listed below.
Requirements
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Able to bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and squat.
- Able to push, pull, and maneuver heavy loads.
- Able to stand and be on one's feet during the workday.
Nice To Haves
- Previous food preparation or cooking experience in a restaurant, bakery, or catering environment.
- Experience in retail and/or a customer-service-oriented environment.
