About The Position

Earth Fare Team Members help ensure customers have a fulfilling store visit by answering questions and meeting their shopping needs. They guide customers toward healthy food and wellbeing and household products that meet Earth Fare’s standards. The Bakery Clerk provides customer service at the bakery counter and elsewhere as needed, bakes goods according to daily production guidelines, maintains the baked goods case and sales floor, and keeps the department clean, sanitary, and organized.

Requirements

• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Able to bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and squat.
• Able to push, pull, and maneuver heavy loads.
• Able to stand and remain on one's feet during the workday.

Nice To Haves

• Previous baking or cooking experience in a restaurant, bakery, or catering environment is preferred.
• Experience in a retail and/or customer service-oriented environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service at the bakery counter and in other areas as needed.
• Bake goods daily according to production guidelines.
• Set and maintain the baked goods case and sales floor, including product presentation, signage, and rotation for freshness.
• Maintain the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall organization of the department.
