About The Position

Earth Fare Team Members help ensure customers have a fulfilling store visit by answering questions and meeting their shopping needs. They support Earth Fare’s mission of helping people live healthy lives by guiding customers toward trusted healthy food and products for wellbeing and the household. The Prepared Foods Clerk provides customer service and prepares food across department areas, including deli, juice bar, pizza and sandwich, and hot bar. The role also maintains merchandising, signage, pricing, cleanliness, sanitation, and organization in the department.

Requirements

• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Able to bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and squat.
• Able to push, pull, and maneuver heavy loads.
• Able to stand and be on one's feet during the workday.

Nice To Haves

• Previous food preparation or cooking experience in a restaurant, bakery, or catering environment.
• Experience in a retail and/or customer service-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service.
• Prepare food in the deli, juice bar, pizza and sandwich, and hot bar areas.
• Maintain an attractive sales floor in accordance with Earth Fare merchandising guidelines as outlined by the Food Service Manager.
• Verify proper signage and pricing of department items.
• Maintain the cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of department fixtures, storage areas, workstations, freezers, and coolers.
