About The Position
85°C Bakery Cafe is hiring Store Front Associates for its Washington Square location in Tigard, Oregon. Associates provide exceptional customer service, attend to guests’ individual needs, and help make each visit memorable. They work collaboratively with store management and coworkers to deliver outstanding service and create an uplifting atmosphere. Associates cross-train in the Bread, Cake, POS, and Bar departments, with role-specific work that may include baking bread, decorating cakes, and making drinks. The position requires at least 20 hours of availability per week and weekend availability; the posting also notes holiday availability is strongly preferred. The job involves moderate physical activity, including frequent standing and walking, repetitive hand motions, reaching overhead, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Employees may encounter extreme temperatures in coolers and freezers. Duties and responsibilities may change or be assigned as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or higher.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Available to work at least 20 hours per week.
- Weekend availability required; holiday availability is strongly preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
- Acceptable verbal English communication skills.
- Excellent work ethic and teamwork skills.
- ServSafe certification.
- Ability to perform moderate physical activity, including lifting up to 50 pounds, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, nearly continuous standing and walking, repetitive hand motions, and reaching overhead.
- Ability to work around unusual elements, including extreme temperatures in coolers and freezers.
