About The Position
85°C Bakery Cafe is seeking Store Front Associates for its Washington Square location. Associates are expected to provide exceptional customer service, respond sensitively to customers’ individual needs, and make each guest’s experience memorable. They work collaboratively with the store management team and coworkers to deliver outstanding service and maintain an uplifting work atmosphere. Job-specific duties may include baking bread, decorating cakes, and making drinks. Associates must be punctual, follow company policies and guidelines, and cross-train across the Bread, Cake, POS, and Bar departments. The role requires at least 20 hours of availability per week and weekend availability; holiday availability is strongly preferred. The position involves moderate physical activity, including nearly continuous standing and walking, repetitive hand motions, overhead reaching, and moderate lifting. Employees may encounter extreme temperatures in coolers and freezers.
Requirements
- High school diploma or higher.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Available to work at least 20 hours per week.
- Acceptable verbal English communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
- Excellent work ethic and teamwork skills.
- Must be ServSafe certified.
- Able to perform moderate lifting up to 50 pounds, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, nearly continuous standing and walking, repetitive hand motions, and overhead reaching.
