About The Position
The Backroom Associate helps deliver a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store. The role follows operational, merchandising, and loss-prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. The posted schedule is Monday through Friday, 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Requirements
- Excellent customer service skills.

- Ability to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
- Ability to lift heavy objects, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities
- Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
- Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
- Accurately ring purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
- Promote credit and loyalty programs.
- Follow the company's merchandising philosophy and established merchandising procedures and standards.
- Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
- Initiate and participate in store recovery as needed throughout the day.
- Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards on the sales floor and help maintain and clean the entire store.
- Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
- Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
- Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
- Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
