About The Position

The Automotive Warranty Clerk at River Oaks Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM is responsible for processing, submitting, and tracking manufacturer warranty claims. The role ensures warranty paperwork and supporting documentation meet factory or distributor requirements, follows up on claims, and helps reconcile warranty receivables with the accounting department. The position also maintains warranty parts and service and customer records, and assists with body shop warranty claims.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous automotive warranty administrative experience.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational ability.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screen in accordance with local law and regulations.
• At least 18 years of age to comply with the company driving policy.

Nice To Haves

• CDK experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, submit, and follow up on warranty claims.
• Process warranty paperwork, ensure proper documentation, and verify criteria required by the factory or distributor.
• Keep abreast of factory recalls and announcements.
• Arrange for parts to be shipped to the factory or distributor and promptly resubmit rejected claims.
• Assist with body shop warranty claims and follow up on outstanding claims.
• Reconcile warranty receivables and work with the accounting department to obtain payments.
• Track warranty parts by noting the repair order number, replacement date, and date the part may be disposed of.
• Maintain service and customer records as required by the warrantor.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
