About The Position
Christian Brothers Automotive is seeking an energetic, upbeat Automotive Technician / Mechanic with a positive attitude and a passion for finding solutions and doing what is right for guests. The technician will diagnose and repair vehicles, build experience across a wide range of domestic and foreign vehicles, and work collaboratively with the service department and other technicians to deliver accurate, effective service. The Fayetteville shop is described as climate-controlled and equipped with manufacturer-level diagnostic equipment and the latest factory scan tools. Technicians have access to a consistent workload, training, live technical support, and a private Technician Assistance Center. This opening is at a locally owned and operated franchise location.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience as an automotive technician or mechanic.
- Positive attitude and desire to serve guests.
- Ability to diagnose and repair all makes and models of vehicles.
- Professional appearance and strong communication skills.
- Aptitude for learning additional skills and processes.
- Desire for long-term career development.
- Ability to occasionally lift or move over 100 pounds.
- Ability to work with tools on vehicles lifted above the technician’s head and in tight repair spaces.
- Dexterity to use hand tools efficiently.
- Ability to walk and stand for most of the workday.
- Ability to drive manual-transmission vehicles.
- Ability to navigate a computer efficiently.
Nice To Haves
- ASE certifications are preferred, or a plan to achieve them.
Responsibilities
- Use automotive knowledge and skills to diagnose and repair guests’ vehicles.
- Build experience working on a wide range of domestic and foreign vehicles.
- Complete full, accurate, and honest courtesy vehicle inspections.
- Work as part of a team to troubleshoot customer concerns quickly and effectively.
- Follow and promote high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization.
- Work closely with the service department and communicate customer concerns effectively.
- Collaborate with other technicians to solve problems, meet deadlines, and deliver distinguished results.
- Meet or exceed hourly goals.
