About The Position

Christian Brothers Automotive is seeking an energetic, upbeat automotive technician with a positive attitude and a strong commitment to finding solutions and doing what is right for guests. The technician will diagnose and repair a wide range of domestic and foreign vehicles, perform thorough and honest courtesy inspections, and collaborate with the service department and other technicians to address concerns effectively and deliver quality results. The role is located at 1310 Thouvenot Lane, O'Fallon, IL 62269. The independently owned local franchisee is the employer.

Requirements

Positive attitude and desire to serve guests.
5–7+ years of experience as an automotive technician or mechanic.
Ability to diagnose and repair all makes and models of vehicles.
Aptitude for learning additional skills and processes.
Professional appearance and strong communication skills.
Desire for long-term career development.
Ability to occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
Ability to work with tools on vehicles lifted above the technician’s head and in tight spaces as dictated by repairs.
Dexterity to use hand tools efficiently.
Ability to walk and stand for the majority of the workday.
Ability to drive vehicles with manual transmissions.
Ability to navigate a computer efficiently.

Responsibilities

Use automotive knowledge and skills to diagnose and repair guests’ vehicles.
Build experience working on a wide range of domestic and foreign vehicles.
Complete full, accurate, and honest courtesy vehicle inspections.
Work with the team to troubleshoot guest concerns quickly and effectively.
Follow and promote high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization.
Work closely with the service department and communicate concerns effectively.
Collaborate with other technicians to solve problems, meet deadlines, and deliver exceptional results.
