About The Position

Christian Brothers Automotive is seeking an energetic, upbeat Automotive Technician / Mechanic with a positive attitude and a strong commitment to solving difficult problems and doing what is right for guests. Technicians diagnose and repair vehicles across a wide range of domestic and foreign makes and models, perform accurate courtesy inspections, and collaborate with the service department and fellow technicians to address guest concerns efficiently and deliver quality results. The role is based at a locally owned and operated franchise location in Hutto, Texas. The shop is climate-controlled and closed on weekends. CBA locations provide manufacturer-level diagnostic equipment, factory scan tools, full-time live technician support, and access to a private Technician Assistance Center.

Requirements

At least 3 years of experience as an automotive technician or mechanic.
Positive attitude and desire to serve guests.
Ability to diagnose and repair all makes and models of vehicles.
Aptitude and willingness to learn additional skills and processes.
Professional appearance and strong communication skills.
Desire for long-term career development.
Ability to occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
Ability to work with tools on vehicles lifted above the technician's head and in tight spaces dictated by repairs.
Dexterity to use hand tools efficiently.
Ability to walk and stand for most of the workday.
Ability to drive vehicles with manual transmissions.
Ability to navigate a computer efficiently.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair vehicles for guests.
Build experience working on a wide range of domestic and foreign vehicles.
Complete full, accurate, and honest courtesy vehicle inspections.
Work with the team to troubleshoot guest concerns quickly and effectively.
Follow and promote standards for safety, cleanliness, and organization.
Communicate concerns effectively and work closely with the service department.
Collaborate with other technicians to solve problems, meet deadlines, and deliver distinguished results.
