Automotive Mechanic - Technician | Air Conditioned Shop & Weekends Off | Round Rock
About The Position
Christian Brothers Automotive is seeking energetic, upbeat automotive technicians with positive attitudes who are passionate about doing what is right for guests and finding solutions to challenging problems. Technicians diagnose and repair vehicles, build experience across a wide range of domestic and foreign vehicles, and work collaboratively with the service department and other technicians to address guest concerns and deliver quality results. The role is based in Round Rock, Texas, in a climate-controlled shop that is closed every weekend. CBA locations provide modern facilities with manufacturer-level diagnostic equipment and factory scan tools, a consistent workload, training, live technician support, and access to a private Technician Assistance Center.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience as an automotive technician or mechanic.
- Positive attitude and a desire to serve guests.
- Ability to diagnose and repair all makes and models of vehicles.
- Aptitude for learning additional skills and processes.
- Professional appearance and strong communication skills.
- Desire for long-term career development.
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
- Ability to work with tools on vehicles lifted above the technician’s head and in tight spaces dictated by repairs.
- Dexterity to use hand tools efficiently.
- Ability to walk or stand for most of the workday.
- Ability to drive vehicles with manual transmissions.
- Ability to navigate a computer efficiently.

Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair vehicles for guests using automotive knowledge and skills.
- Continue building experience across a wide range of domestic and foreign vehicles.
- Complete full, accurate, and honest courtesy vehicle inspections.
- Work with the team to troubleshoot guest concerns quickly and effectively.
- Follow and promote high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization.
- Work closely with the service department and communicate guest concerns effectively.
- Collaborate with other technicians to solve problems, meet deadlines, and deliver distinguished results.
- Meet or exceed hourly goals.
