About The Position

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Several years of experience as an automotive technician or mechanic.
Strong technical knowledge of automotive systems and repair procedures.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Proficiency in computer software and diagnostic equipment.
Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and solve problems effectively.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership and guidance to automotive technicians and mechanics; assign work based on staff skills, monitor progress, and provide feedback.
Ensure repair and maintenance work meets quality standards, inspect completed work, and address service-quality concerns.
Schedule and prioritize work orders, coordinate with service advisors, and manage workflow to support productivity and timely completion.
Provide technicians with technical support, troubleshoot complex automotive issues, assist with diagnostics, and stay current on automotive technologies and repair methods.
Maintain inventory records, order parts and supplies, and monitor stock levels to prevent shortages or excess inventory.
Enforce safety protocols, conduct safety meetings and training, and promptly address safety violations.
Oversee maintenance and repair of shop equipment and tools, schedule inspections and servicing, and ensure equipment is in good working condition.
Explain repair recommendations to customers and address their concerns when needed; promote excellent customer service.
Maintain accurate work-order, timecard, and job-completion records, and generate reports on shop performance and efficiency.
