About The Position

The Service Shop Foreman directs the day-to-day operation of a service shop with a diverse product line. The role works with the Service Manager and Service Advisors to coordinate customer vehicle repairs, meet schedules, and maintain technician productivity. The Foreman maintains quality standards, a safe and clean work environment, and a professional atmosphere. The position also supervises technicians, shop workflow, equipment and tooling maintenance, and technicians’ training and certifications. Other duties may be assigned, and job responsibilities may change based on organizational needs.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Minimum of 3 years of related experience and/or training.
Prior supervisory and/or management experience.

Responsibilities

Direct the day-to-day operation of a service shop with a diverse product line.
Work with the Service Manager and Service Advisors to coordinate repairs of customer vehicles.
Meet time schedules and maintain technician productivity levels.
Maintain quality standards and a safe, clean, professional work environment.
Evaluate job estimates to maintain profitability.
Review repair orders for accuracy.
Supervise technicians in repairing customer vehicles.
Supervise shop workflow to maintain efficiency.
Supervise maintenance of shop equipment and tooling.
Supervise technicians in maintaining current training and certifications.
Promote workplace safety and perform quality work within deadlines.
Interact professionally and cooperatively with employees, customers, and suppliers.
Maintain the confidentiality and privacy of company proprietary and confidential information.
Work effectively as a team contributor and independently, communicating and coordinating work as necessary.
Maintain regular attendance and punctuality in accordance with company policies.
