About The Position

Martin Automotive Group is seeking Automotive Service Technicians to join the team at its Dayton Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram dealership. The role involves diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicles, completing work in accordance with dealership policies and manufacturer specifications, and communicating with Service Advisors about additional service needs. Technicians may be eligible for a base rate of up to $40.00, a performance bonus, and the President’s Club program for CDJR-trained technicians.

The President’s Club recognizes elite technicians based on flag hours and clock hours. Technicians who clock at least 1,900 hours and flag at least 2,000 hours within a calendar year are eligible. Eligible technicians are invited to the Martin Group’s annual Awards Banquet, where team members receive a recognition plaque and a check based on their years with the organization, and may be eligible for a company demo.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience as an auto technician.
• Knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance.
• Computer literacy.
• Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
• Valid driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

• Manufacturer certifications.
• CDJR training for eligibility for the stated President’s Club benefit.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on repair orders efficiently and in accordance with dealership policies.
• Test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment, and test-drive vehicles.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair automotive systems.
• Communicate with the Service Advisor so customers can be informed when additional service is needed.
• Complete online multi-point inspection reports.
• Perform warranty repairs according to manufacturer specifications.
