About The Position

The Automotive Service Porter maintains a clean, organized, and efficient work environment and supports daily shop operations by cleaning, organizing tools and materials, and managing waste and scrap. The position works in a fast-paced shop setting that may involve exposure to dust, noise, and machinery. The listed schedule is Monday through Thursday, 3 PM–5 PM, and Saturday, 8 AM–4 PM.

Requirements

• Ability to operate a forklift, or willingness to obtain certification.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational ability.
• Reliability and ability to follow instructions.
• Compliance with company policies, including the Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct, Electronic Information Policy, and Confidentiality Agreement.

Nice To Haves

• Forklift certification.
• Basic understanding of shop tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain shop floors, work areas, and equipment.
• Organize tools, parts, and supplies for easy access and efficiency.
• Sort, remove, and properly dispose of garbage, recycling, and scrap materials.
• Operate a forklift to move materials, equipment, and scrap safely.
• Assist with loading and unloading materials.
• Assist with inventory organization and basic stock management.
• Support skilled workers with general labor tasks as needed.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment.
• Comply with company policies and follow other job-related instructions and duties.
