About The Position

Rohrman Automotive Group is seeking a reliable Service Porter to help keep its service department safe, clean, and running smoothly. This entry-level role is suited to someone who takes pride in their surroundings, works independently, and wants to contribute to an automotive team. The position involves moving vehicles, cleaning and maintaining customer-facing and service areas, assisting technicians with spills and used oil filters, and providing day-to-day support to the service department. The employer provides training.

Requirements

• No prior experience is required; training is provided.
• Valid driver's license and a clean, acceptable driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain physically active throughout the shift.
• Reliable, self-motivated, safety-conscious, and possessing a good work ethic.
• Comfortable working in a shop environment and following OSHA safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Drive customer and dealership vehicles to and from the service lane, stalls, and parking areas safely and within legal speed limits.
• Clean and maintain customer-facing areas, including the waiting room, refreshment station, and restrooms, and restock supplies as needed.
• Sweep, mop, and maintain service stalls, shop floors, offices, locker rooms, hallways, and vending areas.
• Assist technicians with oil and water spills and drain and dispose of used oil filters in compliance with OSHA and environmental regulations.
• Clean windows, glass doors, shop signs, mirrors, and dealership vehicles inside and out.
• Run errands and assist the service department with day-to-day support tasks as directed by the Service Manager.
