About The Position

The Automotive Service Advisor is the face of the dealership for service customers. This role presents and sells needed products and services professionally while following the manufacturer’s published maintenance schedule and requirements. The Service Advisor builds customer rapport to promote satisfaction and retention, advises customers on vehicle care, prepares repair estimates, coordinates repair timing with customers and technicians, and helps maintain customer satisfaction targets. The position requires managing a fast-paced work environment with limited supervision.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment background and drug screening.
• Must be able to manage a fast-paced work environment with limited supervision.
• Must have strong customer service, phone, and computer skills.

Nice To Haves

• Previous automotive Service Advisor experience is heavily preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly and courteously and obtain pertinent vehicle information.
• Promote services and build rapport with customers.
• Advise customers on vehicle care and the value of maintenance in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
• Generate and provide customers with complete, accurate repair estimates.
• Establish and communicate repair completion times with customers and technicians.
• Answer incoming service calls.
• Maintain and schedule service appointments.
• Follow prescribed customer follow-up procedures to encourage return visits, increase sales, and support customer satisfaction.
• Follow manufacturer warranty guidelines and procedures.
• Conduct business honestly and maintain the manufacturer Customer Satisfaction Index at or above Asbury’s specified goals for district, regional, and national scores.
• Comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws and company policies for safeguarding customer, company, and manufacturer information, as well as customer vehicles and property.
