About The Position
Apple Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram is hiring an Automotive Service Advisor to join our busy service team in Shakopee. We’re looking for a motivated, customer-focused professional who can build relationships, communicate effectively, and help customers confidently navigate their vehicle’s service and repair needs. Experienced advisors will find the earning potential, customer volume, benefits, and career opportunities they’re looking for — while candidates with strong automotive and customer service backgrounds are also encouraged to apply.
Requirements
- Previous Automotive Service Advisor, Service Writer, or dealership service experience preferred
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to explain automotive repairs and recommendations clearly
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume service department
- Strong organization and follow-through
- Ability to manage multiple customers and repair orders simultaneously
- Basic computer and dealership software proficiency
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
Nice To Haves
- Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram, or Stellantis experience is a plus, but not required
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and serve as their primary point of contact throughout the service process
- Listen to customer concerns and identify vehicle maintenance and repair needs
- Recommend appropriate maintenance and repair services
- Prepare and explain repair orders, estimates, costs, and timelines
- Communicate technician findings and recommendations clearly to customers
- Keep customers updated on repair status and potential delays
- Build long-term customer relationships through excellent communication and follow-up
- Coordinate with technicians, parts, and other service department team members
- Maintain accurate repair orders and customer records in the dealership DMS
- Address customer questions and concerns professionally
- Help deliver an efficient and exceptional service experience from write-up through vehicle delivery
