About The Position

The Automotive Service Advisor/Writer is the primary point of contact for guests, guiding them through the vehicle repair process, communicating repair status, and ensuring their satisfaction. The role involves explaining appropriate repair solutions clearly and honestly, managing store workflow, and building lasting relationships with guests. The position is at a new Christian Brothers Automotive facility in Auburn, Alabama, scheduled to open in February 2027; interviews are expected to begin in January 2027. The location is independently owned and operated by a local franchisee, which would be the employer. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with weekends off.

Requirements

Current driver’s license.
Driving record acceptable to the company’s insurance carrier.
Proficiency with Windows-based computer software and automotive store applications.
Experience in an automotive customer service, service writing/advising, or sales role.
Dependability and reliability for the Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. schedule.
Ability to spend most of the workday on one’s feet, including standing, walking, and coordinating parts.
Ability to occasionally lift and carry objects weighing more than 50 pounds.
Ability to maintain a brisk work pace in a high-volume environment.

Manage the store’s workflow effectively and efficiently.
Sell services consistently while maintaining honesty and integrity.
Maintain a positive attitude and team atmosphere.
Communicate professionally and clearly by phone.
Build long-term relationships among the store, the employee, and guests.
Direct, coordinate, and participate in customer service activities.
Shuttle guests as needed in a CBA-branded vehicle.
Ensure repairs are performed to proper specifications.
Work as part of a team and assist other employees as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
