About The Position

DARCARS of Lanham is seeking an Automotive Service Advisor / Writer. The role is responsible for presenting, consulting on, and selling automotive warranty products and repair services professionally while following the manufacturer’s published maintenance schedules and requirements and company policies. The Service Advisor builds rapport with customers to promote satisfaction and retention. The position also requires managing in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision and performing other duties as requested by a supervisor.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to pass pre-employment screening, including background screening.
• Ability to manage in a fast-paced work environment with limited supervision.
• Strong customer service, phone, and computer skills.

Nice To Haves

• Previous automotive Service Advisor experience is highly preferred.
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly and courteously and obtain relevant vehicle information.
• Advise customers about vehicle care and the value of maintenance in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
• Prepare and provide customers with complete, accurate repair-order estimates.
• Establish and communicate repair completion times to customers and technicians.
• Answer incoming service calls.
• Maintain and schedule service appointments.
• Follow customer post-service follow-up procedures to encourage return visits, increase sales, and support excellent CSI.
• Follow manufacturer warranty guidelines and procedures.
• Conduct business with integrity to maintain manufacturer Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) standards and DARCARS goals.
• Comply with federal, state, and local laws and company policy concerning protection of customer, company, and manufacturer information and customer vehicles and property.
• Perform other duties and follow other instructions as requested by a supervisor.
