About The Position
Sheehy Auto Stores is seeking a reliable, professional Parts Counterperson to purchase and sell parts, take inventory of stock in storage and on shelves, and issue parts within a busy dealership. Candidates with at least one year of dealership warehouse experience can use this opportunity to advance their career. The position offers compensation based on experience, starting at $45,000, along with benefits and a dealership family environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- One year of dealership warehouse experience and training.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background screening, Motor Vehicle Record check, and drug test.
- Valid driver's license.
Responsibilities
- Determine needs and accurately specify parts.
- Create and modify purchase orders.
- Send purchase orders to the appropriate vendors to order parts.
- Record returned warranty parts.
- Enter ordered parts into the dealership computer system and notify the ASM, technician, or client when parts arrive.
- Review tracking for ordered parts.
- Process and close open invoices.
- Compare invoices against requisitions to verify the quality and quantity of merchandise received.
- Keep records of outside purchases and parts received and issued.
- Perform ongoing warehouse parts inventory.
- Attend weekly department meetings.
