About The Position

Ron Tonkin Chevrolet in SE Portland is seeking an Automotive Parts Counter associate to join its growing parts department. The role supports technicians by helping them obtain the parts they need, and involves maintaining inventory, ordering supplies, advising customers about vehicle-specific parts and equipment, and facilitating and tracking parts sales. Prior automotive parts experience is desired, and experience with CDK is preferred but not required.

Requirements

• Prior experience working around automotive parts.
• Warm and friendly personality.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen.

Nice To Haves

• Previous CDK experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and track inventory.
• Order supplies for the dealership or auto service center.
• Advise customers about equipment and parts available for specific vehicles or car brands.
• Help facilitate and track parts sales.
• Assist technicians with obtaining parts.
