About The Position

Bergey’s Inc. is hiring an Automotive Parts Counter Sales Associate for Bergey’s Chevrolet in Colmar, Pennsylvania. The associate sells parts to customers over the counter, through the shop, and by phone, serving both retail and shop customers. The role involves helping customers select parts, filling and tracking orders, coordinating with service and body shop teams, and providing friendly, professional, and efficient customer service.

Requirements

Valid driver's license.
Successful completion of background checks and drug screening.

Nice To Haves

Ford Parts or other dealer experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist retail and shop customers in selecting required parts in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner.
Inform customers of companion part requirements and specials, and ensure they are exposed to the full product line.
Answer phone calls and provide price quotes and other information.
Review body shop estimates to confirm that ordered parts are correct and pricing aligns with the estimate.
Provide a high level of service to internal and external customers.
Pull and fill orders from stock.
Notify the parts manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials requiring immediate attention.
Locate out-of-stock parts from outside sources and submit emergency orders when necessary.
Notify service advisors and customers when special-ordered parts arrive.
Notify the body shop when all parts have arrived and when they will be delivered.
Pull orders for delivery to the body shop and ensure parts are tagged with customer names and job numbers.
Follow up on back-ordered parts.
Perform other tasks as assigned.
