About The Position

Town & Country Ford, a Sonic Automotive family dealership, is hiring an Automotive Lube Technician. The technician lubricates vehicles quickly and thoroughly while coordinating responsibilities with the Production Foreman. The role includes inspecting customer vehicles for potential repairs or preventive maintenance, maintaining lubrication equipment and lifts, keeping vehicles clean, and following company safety procedures. The posting lists compensation of $15.00–$18.00 per hour.

Requirements

Knowledge of all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance.
Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
Two years of experience as a technician’s helper or apprentice in an automobile dealership.
Manual dexterity.
Good judgment.
Authorization to work in the USA.
Ability to perform duties and responsibilities safely.
Ability to pass pre-employment testing, including background checks, MVR, drug test, and credit report, and to provide a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Perform all lubrication services.
Thoroughly check customer vehicles, including batteries, lights, and tires, and refer needed repairs or preventive maintenance to the Service Advisor.
Operate and maintain lubrication equipment.
Receive repair orders from the Service Salesman or Production Foreman and proceed to the service lift.
Lubricate the entire vehicle while looking for other items that may need repair.
Keep customers’ vehicles clean.
Ensure equipment, especially lifts, is in proper working order.
Use adequate, but not excessive, amounts of materials and supplies.
Follow company safety policies and procedures and immediately report accidents to a manager or supervisor.
