About The Position

The Lubrication Technician lubricates vehicles quickly and thoroughly, coordinating responsibilities with the Production Foreman. The role includes performing lubrication services, inspecting vehicles for issues that may need repair or preventive maintenance, and referring those needs to the Service Advisor. The technician operates and maintains lubrication equipment, keeps customer vehicles clean, uses supplies appropriately, and follows company safety procedures.

Requirements

Knowledge of all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance.
Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
Two years of experience as a technician’s helper or apprentice in an automobile dealership.
Manual dexterity.
Good judgment.
Authorization to work in the USA.
Ability to perform duties and responsibilities safely.
Ability to pass pre-employment testing, including background checks, an MVR check, a drug test, and a credit report; a valid driver’s license is also required.

Responsibilities

Perform all lubrication services.
Thoroughly check customer vehicles, including batteries, lights, and tires, and refer needed repairs or preventive maintenance to the Service Advisor.
Operate and maintain lubrication equipment.
Receive repair orders from the Service Salesman or Production Foreman and proceed to the service lift.
Lubricate the entire vehicle while looking for other items that may need repair.
Keep customer vehicles clean.
Ensure all equipment, especially lifts, is in proper working order.
Use adequate, but not excessive, amounts of materials and supplies.
Follow company safety policies and procedures and immediately report accidents to a manager or supervisor.
