About The Position

This role is for an Automotive Fleet Deletions Coordinator, a full-time position at Avis Budget Group. The position involves hands-on, detail-oriented work in a fast-paced environment, utilizing automotive knowledge. The core function is to ensure vehicles are accurately prepared, documented, and transitioned, supporting both fleet operations and a smooth customer experience. The role is primarily outdoors and involves overseeing vehicle entry and exit, conducting inspections, managing registration paperwork, and preparing vehicles for customer rental or transition out of the fleet. Attention to detail and automotive knowledge are key to ensuring vehicle accuracy, safety, and availability.

Requirements

  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Strong attention to detail with effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word
  • Ability to work outdoors or near a mechanical shop with moderate noise levels
  • Flexibility to work various shifts
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, continuously stand, bend, reach, walk, sit and kneel frequently, enter, exit and drive vehicles
  • Basic computer skills, including typing and data entry
  • Must be 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States
  • This position requires regular, on-site presence and cannot be performed remotely

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in an auto shop, dealership, or fleet operation
  • Completion of an automotive program
  • Previous experience in auto service, fleet operations, or vehicle maintenance is a strong advantage

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the entry and exit of vehicles within the rental fleet.
  • Conduct pre-delivery and post-use inspections of vehicles.
  • Install and remove license plates.
  • Coordinate vehicle registration paperwork, stickers, and keys.
  • Ensure vehicle records are accurate and up to date.
  • Prepare newer vehicles across various makes and models for customer rental.
  • Support the transition of vehicles out of the fleet for retail used car lots, auctions, or other buyers.
  • Support the organized movement and positioning of vehicles throughout the lot to maintain efficient operations.
