About The Position

BMW of Raleigh is seeking an Automotive Finance Consultant to support its finance and insurance (F&I) operation. The role helps customers access suitable financing, payment protection, and other vehicle-related products and services. The consultant reviews and analyzes customer credit information, supports contract and title follow-up, and works to achieve high customer satisfaction. The position also involves maintaining knowledge of F&I products and manufacturer policies, training and managing sales consultants on F&I products and paperwork, building industry relationships, and assisting desk managers as needed.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license and excellent driving record.
Two to five years of experience as an automotive finance consultant.
Strong organizational skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to provide excellent customer service.

Luxury brand experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain a successful finance and insurance operation.
Ensure buyers are offered appropriate financing, payment protection, and other available products and services for their purchased vehicle.
Maintain a follow-up system for collecting one-pay contracts and outstanding titles.
Obtain and maintain high customer satisfaction scores.
Process, review, and analyze customer credit reports, including credit history and confidential consumer data.
Assess customers’ credit histories to determine the probability that a bank will accept their credit applications.
Maintain knowledge of finance and insurance products and manufacturer policies.
Train and manage sales consultants on F&I products and related paperwork.
Maintain industry knowledge and build and maintain relationships with industry contacts.
Assist desk managers as necessary.
